Requirements

• Job offer from UK employer with sponsor license

• English language proficiency (CEFR B1)
• Have enough funds (£1,270 in bank for 28 days)

• Valid passport: With 6+ months validity

• Proof of English: Nationals of majority-English-speaking countries are exempt
• Bank statements: Showing £1,270 for 28 days
• TB test results (optional): Required if you have spent 6+ months in a country on the UK’s TB screening list

• Some technology roles appear on the Shortage Occupation List and have a lower salary threshold
• A degree taught in English satisfies the English requirement without a test

• This route does not lead directly to settlement; switch to Skilled Worker for ILR

• Proof of funds: £50,000 investment or exemption
• English language proof: Unless from English-speaking country

Worth knowing

• The founder must take an active role in the endorsed business
• Endorsing bodies include: Tech Nation, accelerators, universities
• Investment can come from self, angels, or VCs
• Can work on your own business or take other employment

Path to residency: ILR after 3 years (if business is successful)

Post-study route letting international graduates of UK institutions stay to work or look for work without employer sponsorship.
