  • Sponsor holds a valid B or C permit (or is a recognized worker)
  • Proof of relationship (marriage/partnership or parentage)
  • Adequate housing for the family
  • Sufficient financial means without recourse to social assistance
  • Application generally within 5 years of eligibility (12 months for children over 12)
