B/1 Accompanying Family / Family Reunification

Requirements

• Principal holds valid B/1 status, or the sponsor is an Israeli citizen/permanent resident (for reunification)
• Documented family relationship (marriage or birth certificates)
• Sponsor meets support and accommodation expectations
• For reunification, a genuine and ongoing relationship is assessed by PIBA

Restrictions

• Derivative B/1 status generally does not include the right to work
• Reunification approvals are discretionary and can involve extended review

Tied to the principal’s permit; reunification follows a graduated multi-year process

Required

• Visa and residence licence: ₪105 for a B/2 visa accompanying a B/1 holder or ₪1,915 as the spouse of an Israeli citizen or resident (the spouse fee is paid in two parts, on application and when the licence is issued; some passports are exempt from the B/2 fee)

Optional

• ₪205 residence licence extension, if you extend to match the B/1 holder's permit
