Requirements

  • Stable, ongoing passive income of at least approx. EUR 32,000 per year per applicant (pensions, rents, dividends, annuities)
  • Income increased by roughly 20% for a spouse and further for each dependent
  • Suitable accommodation owned or rented in Italy
  • Private health insurance covering the full stay
  • No intention or authorization to work in Italy

Restrictions

  • No employment or self-employment is permitted on this visa
  • Income must be passive; salary does not count toward the threshold
