Requirements

  • Qualifying relationship to a Mexican citizen or resident (spouse, minor child, parent, dependent)
  • Mexican sponsor demonstrates the relationship and, in some cases, means of support
  • Apply at a consulate abroad, or via INM change-of-status if already in Mexico for family reasons
  • Exchange the visa for a resident card within 30 days of arrival
