Requirements

  • Job offer from a Mexican employer registered with INM (Constancia de Inscripcion de Empleador)
  • Employer files the work authorization petition with INM in Mexico
  • Once approved, applicant collects the visa at a Mexican consulate abroad
  • Exchange the consular visa for a resident card at an INM office within 30 days of arrival
  • No criminal record; valid passport

  • Work is authorized only for the sponsoring employer
  • Changing employers requires notifying INM
