For managers, specialists and trainees employed by a company outside the EU/EEA who are transferred to a Swedish entity of the same group. From 1 June 2026 a minimum salary level also applies to ICT permits.

Requirements

  • Employed by a company outside the EU/EEA being transferred to a group entity in Sweden
  • Role as manager, specialist or trainee
  • Employed by the group for a minimum period before the transfer
  • Pay and terms at least on par with Swedish collective agreements, and meeting the ICT minimum salary level applying from 1 June 2026
  • Ability to return to employment in the group after the transfer

Restrictions

  • The permit covers only the intra-group assignment
  • ICT time does not count toward Swedish permanent residence

  • SEK 1,500 application fee for an adult family member, if family members come with you
  • SEK 750 application fee for a child, if family members come with you

    Covering the transfer period

  • Employment contract and transfer letter

    Showing role, salary and duration of the Swedish assignment

  • Proof of group relationship

    Documentation linking the home and Swedish entities

  • Proof of qualifications

    Degree or experience relevant to the specialist/manager role

Tips

  • If most of the assignment is in Sweden, apply for the Swedish ICT permit even if entering via another EU state
  • ICT permits allow short-term mobility to other EU countries within the same group
  • Family members may join and work in Sweden
